Elon Musk Questions Whether He’s Father Of Ashley St. Clair’s Child – But Says He’s Given Her $2.5M Anyway
Following a viral video of conservative influencer Ashley St. Clair selling her Tesla after Elon Musk cut her child support in half, Musk has responded by questioning the child’s paternity.
“I don’t know if the child is mine or not,” Musk wrote in a post to X on Monday. “But am not against finding out. No court order is needed. Despite not knowing for sure, I have given Ashley $2.5M and am sending her $500k/year.”
St. Clair previously alleged that she had been trying to contact Musk for months, but he did not respond to her, forcing her to go public with the information in hopes it would get his attention. Musk reportedly has still not spoken to her.
Musk’s 14th baby mama, St. Clair, announced Musk was the father of her son – then five months old – in February. In the post to Instagram, she wrote, “I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child’s privacy and safety, but in recent days, it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause.”
A week following the announcement, St. Clair filed a paternity and custody lawsuit in New York, alleging that Musk had ordered her to keep the baby a secret before ghosting her. St. Clair’s lawsuit presented incriminating text messages from Musk in November 2024, which stated, “I want to knock you up again,” and “we do have a legion of kids to make.”
A month later, Musk’s attorneys successfully petitioned the New York judge for a gag order against St. Clair, sealing all details about the lawsuit and limiting St. Clair’s freedom to speak out about the case.
Before Musk’s X post, his only comment on St. Clair’s announcement was a series of cryptic emojis on other X posts speculating about the claim.
