PETA’s latest public service announcement sees Italian supermodel and George Clooney’s ex, Elisabetta Canalis, act out the effects of leaving a dog in a stuffy car on a hot summer’s day. “If it’s too hot for us, it’s definitely too hot for our dogs,” Canalis warns audiences in a promotional video for the ad.

In the short PSA, Canalis is ‘left’ in a car by her owner and quickly feels the effects of overheating, struggling to get out and becoming light-headed. “Dogs can suffer from heatstroke and die in a matter of minutes when left in a car on a warm day,” the ad concludes.

The fact that she looks amazing during the one-minute clip is supposed to be irrelevant. Other supermodels who have lent their beautiful image to PETA’s animal protection cause include Naomi Campbell, Patrick Ribbsaeter, Imogen Bailey and Joanna Krupa.
