Ed Sheeran Surprises Fan Sydney Bourbeau Singing His Song At Mall In Viral Video

Ed Sheeran surprised a young fan at West Edmonton Mall in Canada with an impromptu duet on Sunday.

In the viral video, which was uploaded yesterday and already has over 300,000 views, Sheeran walks up to a girl singing a cover of his hit-song “Thinking Out Loud.”

The young girl who he surprised is 13-year-old Sydney Bourbeau, who was performing at a fundraiser for Edmonton Humane Society. “I was like, should I stop? I didn’t want to stop, but I wanted to talk to him,” she told Edmonton Journal. “This is, like, the best thing that’s ever happened to me,” she added.

The British singer was in an HMV store when he heard Bourbeau singing. She looked in shock as Sheeran gave her a hug and finished the song with her. According to Edmonton Journal, Bourbeau has been taking singing lessons with Resonate Music School and Studio for almost a year, but said she’s been singing a long time.

Sheeran left the stage after the performance, stopping to take some selfies with fans and to sign autographs. Bourbeau surprises did not end there. Sheeran’s manager later texted her, offering two tickets to the singer’s Sunday night concert at Rexall Place.

The Grammy-nominated singer re-tweeted a video of him and the fan.
