Dolores O’Riordan, the lead singer for The Cranberries, was detained and questioned after allegedly attacking a flight attendant and a cop.

O’Riordan, 43, was traveling from New York City to Ireland on Monday when she reportedly got into an altercation with a stewardess. Upon landing at Shannon Airport, O’Riordan was taken into police custody – after head-butting the cop that tried to arrest her. As for the stewardess, she was taken to a local hospital with a leg or foot injury, reported TMZ.

“Gardaí [police] were called to meet the aircraft following an allegation of an assault on a female Aer Lingus air hostess,” a Garda spokesperson told the Guardian. A Garda was also assaulted during the course of the arrest.”

Aer Lingus stated, “An incident took place on board flight EI110 en route from New York to Shannon today. The matter is being investigated by An Garda Síochána. As this is a security matter we will not comment any further.”

O’Riordan, who currently lives in Dublin with her husband and three children, was released from police custody. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
