On Thursday, Dionne Warwick canceled a Chicago concert scheduled for June 24 due to a medical issue. A representative for Warwick stated that the show would be rescheduled.

Fans planning to attend were sent an email from Rivers Casino, explaining that the concert had been canceled. The venue has offered refunds to anyone who purchased tickets.

Warwick, 82, made the announcement due to an unspecified problem with one of her legs, which had started on Thursday. Her representative said, “It’s a minor issue that has been fixed, and she is fine.”

Warwick also has scheduled shows for June 22 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, June 23 in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, August 9 in Selbyville, Delaware, August 11 in Gethsemane, Kentucky, September 1 in Ojai, California and September 2 in Beverly Hills, California. It remains unknown whether these shows will take place.

In February 2023, Warwick told Billboard about her experience working with Dolly Parton on the song “Peace Like a River.” The track is the first single from Warwick’s upcoming album, Songs of Inspiration.

Warwick told the music magazine about how she works well with Parton, saying, “We were there to take care of our business, but along with that, we found time to not only smile but outright laugh.” She mentioned that Parton was “very grounded” but also “very business,” and that they fit together “like two peas in a pod.”

Parton, who wrote the song, told Billboard that she was “honored to get to sing with one of my idols.” She added, “I have loved her since we were younger, and getting to sing with her was one of the highlights of my career.”
