On October 13 at 3 a.m. Gretchen Wilson was asked to leave Hotel Encanto by the Las Cruces Police Department. It had just been hours after her La Cruces Country Music Festival performance in New Mexico when police came knocking on her door.

According to USA Today, a hotel employee had called 911 claiming that Wilson was being “super loud” and that “her level of talking is like his yelling.” The Grammy Award-winning artist could have been charged with trespassing, but she decided to cooperate and voluntarily leave with her team with no further issues.

Of course, the country singer says the hotel had no reason to kick her out and has expressed on Twitter that Hotel Encanto should be put out of business.

Was a guest in Las Cruces NM yest & had a blast w/ the people there. However, you should all band together to put Hotel Encanto out of business. Had to wait 2 hrs for breakfast. Then they sent police to kick me out in the middle of the night for no reason. I complied. Home early.

In 2018, the singer was also charged with breach of peace and accused of causing a “minor disturbance” at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks. Wilson did not choose to be cooperative then and state troopers arrested her when she allegedly became belligerent.
