Lil Duval revealed to his fans Wednesday that his Bahamas vacation had taken an unfortunate turn when he was involved in a vehicle crash on a four-wheeler ATV. He shared in a video on Instagram that he suffered from a broken leg and had to be flown to the country’s capital Nassau to be hospitalized.
According to Duval, he was struck by a car while on his ATV. He had been living it up on the beach for most of his vacation before according to prior social media posts and has now sustained pretty serious injuries far from home. He seems to be getting well-cared for at the hospital in Nassau, though he did have some complaints that he issued on Instagram later.
He has been well enough to continue posting, at the very least, and showed some of his injuries to followers recently. One self-facing video on his Instagram story showed the comedian had a black eye and a rough-looking scar on his forehead that had been stitched up.
Another alarming video the comic, whose full name is Ronald Powell, posted showed doctors drilling into his knee. He complained in the caption writing, “Why they ain’t put me to sleep?”
A representative for Lil Duval was reached for comment on this developing story. He seems to still be recovering at the Nassau Hospital.
Along with his stand-up comedy career and appearances in films like Meet The Blacks and Scary Movie 5, Duval has also appeared in a variety of music videos and made songs of his own. His single “Smile Bitch” featured Snoop Dogg and peaked at number 56 on the Billboard Hot 100.
