Chance The Rapper Donates $1 Million To Chicago Public Schools, Calls Out Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner
Chance the Rapper announced today during a press conference that he will be donating $1 million to Chicago Public Schools.
CHANCE THE RAPPER DONTES $1M TO CHICAGO PUBLIC SCHOOLS
Chance met with Illinois governor Bruce Rauner last week to discuss education and other “important issues affecting” Chicago and the entire state. Following this, Chance was even more determined to help, as he felt the governor was “vague” with him. During the press conference today, Chance called him out, saying, “Gov. Rauner, do your job!”
“Our kids should not be held hostage because of political positions,” he said. Chance and fellow rapper Common have also decided to team up, and will discuss further funding for the city.
