‘Bullying’ HGTV Star Christina Haack Slams Husband Josh Hall For Demanding ‘Outrageous’ $65,000 Monthly Spousal Support
Josh Hall has responded to his estranged wife Christina Haack’s claim that he asked for $65,000 a month in spousal support.
In court documents, Haack’s filing read, “Josh Hall is requesting $65,000 per month in spousal support from [Haack] on a two-year, nine-month marriage which is outrageous when he is self-supporting.”
Haack further argued that Hall was not in need of spousal support, as he “just paid over $70,000 to pay off the lease” on a Bentley.
On Wednesday, Hall posted a response to his Instagram story, in which he denounced Haack’s claims as “riddled with lies and assumptions.”
He also took aim at Haack’s lawyer, and quipped that the legal move was an “interesting tactic for someone who is a licensed attorney and took an oath of integrity.”
Hall added, “Pretty sure making provably false statements to a judge is unethical.”
In Hall’s initial divorce petition on July 15, he did request spousal support, although the amount was not specified. In response, Haack requested that neither of them receive support from the other.
Hall’s attorney Sara Yunus gave a statement that declared Haack’s filing to be “a complete distortion of the truth,” and Haack and her lawyer “entirely misrepresented terms of a confidential settlement offer.”
“In reality, Josh offered to waive spousal support as part of a global settlement, which Christina rejected,” Yunus’ statement read. “Christina twisted his offer to make it appear as though it’s Josh who is being unreasonable…Josh will not put up with Christina’s continued bullying of him through the court of public opinion, particularly when she spreads lies.”
Hall and Haack began to date in March 2021. They went public with their relationship in July of that year and in April 2022 revealed they had gotten married in secret. In the divorce filing, Hall cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for separation.
