Amid Bruce Willis’ decline in health, his wife Emma Heming Willis is making sure their children remain happy and are in good spirits.

Through a couple of snapshots on her Instagram stories, Emma can be having fun with her daughters, Mabel Ray and Evelyn Penn Willis.

The first photo shows Emma, dressed as Waldo hugging one of her daughters, who is dressed as a mystical fairy.

Another photo sees Emma smile in a series of photos with her other daughter, who is dressed as a pirate.

Bruce, who was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) earlier this year, has Emma as his primary caregiver.

Despite being vocal about awareness of FTD, Emma has posted only occasionally about her husband, preferring to give him privacy as he deals with the disease.

Glenn Caron, a close friend of Bruce, did give an update on his dementia in mid-October.

“The thing that makes [his disease] so mind-blowing is [that] if you’ve ever spent time with Bruce Willis, there is no one who had any more joie de vivre than he,” Caron told the New York Post. “He loved life and… just adored waking up every morning and trying to live life to its fullest.”

Caron later revealed that Willis “is not totally verbal,” and that he is “seeing life through a screen door.”

“When you’re with him you know that he’s Bruce and you’re grateful that he’s there. But the joie de vivre is gone,” he concluded.

Caron created the show Moonlighting, which gave Bruce his breakout role.

In addition to the two daughters Bruce has with Emma, he shares three daughters with ex Demi Moore – Tallulah, Scout and Rumer.

Emma recently said that it’s “hard to know” whether Bruce understands his mental decline.
