Bruce Springsteen Breaks Another Concert Record At MetLife Stadium

Bruce Springsteen once again surpassed his own record for the length of a concert in the United States at the MetLife stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, last night.

Springsteen played for more than four hours at Tuesday’s concert in the Meadowlands. The new record caps off a string of record-breaking shows at the venue, shattering the previous ones set on Aug. 23 and Aug. 25.

Springsteen’s show Tuesday is the longest one he’s ever played in the United States, and the second longest one of his career. His longest-ever concert remains the E Street Band show that was played in Helsinki, Finland back in 2012.

On Tuesday, Springsteen kicked things off with “New York Serenade,” which was performed with a string section in addition to pianist Roy Bittan, saxophonist Jake Clemons and drummer Max Weinberg.

While Springsteen’s setlist was similar to what it was at last week’s concerts, he did throw in a few more fan-favorite tracks, including, “It’s So Hard To Be A Saint In The City,” “Blinded By The Light” “Spirit In The Night” and “Does This Bus Stop At 82nd Street.” He also covered Eddie Cochran’s “Summertime Blues.”

Springsteen’s nine-song encore featured “Secret Garden,” “Born To Run” and “Twist and Shout,” culminating with fireworks and “Jersey Girl.”
