Brooklyn Beckham hung out with One Direction over the weekend, causing some fans to hope that he would step in and replace Zayn Malik.

Beckham shared a few photos on Instagram over the weekend with the remaining four members of One Direction, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Niall Horan.

Beckham, 16, was backstage at the Summertime Ball when he met up with the guys of 1D. David Beckham’s teenage son immediately sparked rumors that he could be joining One Direction as their new fifth member.

Unfortunately for fans, Beckham doesn’t appear to have any plans to join the British boy band and One Direction has publicly said they would not be replacing Malik.
Meanwhile, One Direction fans will soon face another crisis in the fandom: the Teen Choice Awards, where Malik and One Direction are both up for the award for Choice Male Hottie.
