Brittney Griner, finally opened up about her recent split from Glory Johnson, in a new interview on Thursday.

Brittney Griner Talks Glory Johnson Annulment, Moving On

Griner was suspended by the WNBA for the first seven games of the season, after an arrest that resulted from a fight with her partner Johnson at their Arizona home in April.

Griner pleaded guilty to misdemeanor disorderly conduct and entered a domestic violence program. Johnson officially pleaded not guilty on July 15 after claiming she was the victim of the incident in a June 2 interview with Sports Illustrated.

Griner and Johnson married in May, but a month later, Griner filed paperwork for an annulment. In a motion filed on July 13 to amend the annulment petition, Griner revealed that Johnson was texting an ex-boyfriend while the two were engaged.

The papers also noted Griner “recently discovering” Johnson’s “sexual relationship with a man” while the couple was dating.

Griner told USA TODAY Sports that “there’s no communication” with Johnson. When asked about her anger issues Griner replied, “I don’t have anger issues. That’s not who I am.”

“All I’ll say about that topic is everyone who knows me, they know the truth and who I am and they see a difference in me,” the Phoenix Mercury star said.

“There’s always going to be negative headlines. It’s how you take responsibility and respond to that,” Griner added. Since returning to the WNBA, Griner has averaged 17.4 points and 7.8 rebounds a game, also leading the league in blocks per game.

“I’m just getting back to being me,” Griner explained. “When you’re at your best off the court, it makes it a hell of a lot easier on the court. Now, I’m just trying to get back to that.”
A hearing is scheduled in Phoenix for Aug. 17 in regard to Griner’s marriage petition.
