Britney Spears recently uploaded a video of herself dancing to her 2003 hit song “The Hook Up” to Instagram.

The singer wore a sheer corset gown with pieces of gold fringe at the end.

In an earlier Instagram post, Spears shared a picture of a quote that said, “I don’t usually brag, but I made it out of bed today.” In the caption, she wrote: “I’m extremely proud of myself today!!!”

This comes in the midst of a viral conspiracy theory that Spears has been “replaced” with some fans sharing “proof” using AI tools.

They ran one of Spears’ wedding pictures with her husband Sam Asghari through an AI photo generator. The result distorted Spears’ face. Some fans say that the blurriness was not due to using AI but because the singer had been replaced by someone else.

Conspiracy theorists along with Instagram accounts like @britneyisnotfree claim that a replacement has been posing as Spears for “over a decade or more.”

This may make some fans doubt the validity of her reportedly $15 million book deal with publisher Simon & Schuster. The memoir will share her perspective on both her professional and personal lives.

Spears’ book will follow her sister Jamie Lynn‘s memoir Things I Should Have Said, which was released in January of last year. Jamie Lynn’s book led to a public argument with Spears writing on Instagram: “I wish you would take a lie detector test so all these masses of people see you’re lying through your teeth about me.”
