The 19-year-old bodybuilder, Anton Ratushnyi, has just broken Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s 57-year-long record of youngest bodybuilder to win a “pro card.”

The young man earned the Classic Physique “pro card” by winning the NPC National Championships held at the Irving Convention Center in Irving, Texas.

Schwarzenegger won the Mr. Universe competition in 1967, when he was only 20 years old, earning him his pro card.

Ratushnyi is five feet and eleven inches tall. He weighs 245 pounds.

He gained his physique with the help of rigorous training schedules and nutrition plans. It took him four years just to go from being a normal teenager to a professional bodybuilder.

“With overcoming lots of adversity over the last year, I can’t stress enough how important it is to believe in yourself and stay true to yourself no matter what others think of you,” Ratushnyi declared in the caption of an Instagram carousel.

“I’m so glad that I decided to pursue my true passion and didn’t let negativity get to me,” he continued. “I took the risk to prep again and challenge myself mentally, physically and emotionally to not just succeed in bodybuilding but grow as a person that would be worthy of inspiring this new generation.”

“Ladies and gentlemen, this is your new youngest IFBB [International Fitness and Bodybuilding Federation] classic pro, and the overall champion at NPC Nationals 2023,” the young athlete concluded.

The first image in the carousel shows a black-and-white picture of Ratushnyi holding up his “pro card.”

As for the second image, it shows a picture of the young bodybuilder flexing and someone on his left holding up a trophy which reads “2023 NPC National Championships Classic Physique Overall Winner.” The “pro card” is propped up on a bag near their feet.

In the third image, there is a picture of Ratushnyi flexing onstage and the trophy and bag placed up next to him.

He often updates his 229,000 Instagram followers on his day-to-day workout routine and on his physique.

Back in May, Schwarzenegger admitted in his cover story for Men’s Health that he took 100 milligrams of testosterone a week and 15 milligrams of Dianabol a day. He then warned modern-day bodybuilders to avoid abusing steroids for the sake of their health.

On July 1, Jo Lindner, a bodybuilder and fitness influencer, died of an aneurysm, as confirmed by his girlfriend, Nicha, on Instagram. She also noted him having pain in his neck prior to his death and expressed disappointment about the rumors about his death.
