Autopsy Reveals That Influencer Alexis Sharkey Was Strangled
The Harris County of Texas medical examiner has revealed that social media influencer Alexis Sharkey was strangled before her body was left on the side of the road in Houston late last year. The results of the autopsy was revealed on Tuesday.
These results come seven weeks after a city worker discovered Sharkey’s nude body on the road in late November 2020, as uInterview reported. While no one has been charged in the case so far, Sharkey’s family and friends are hopeful that Houston police will find the murderer.
“I think this news we all kind of knew, but this just made it that much more real,” Sharkey’s friend, Lauren Norling-Martin said about the confirmation of her strangling. “I’m angry and sad all over again but ready for justice to be served for our friend.”
Sharkey moved to Houston last January with her husband, Tom. She was last seen on the day after Thanksgiving at her apartment that she shared with him.
Houston police are now continuing to investigate any possible suspects involved with the case.
