Jackie Miller James, 35, a beauty and lifestyle social media influencer, experienced a brain aneurysm rupture, which led to severe brain bleeding last month. Her doctors have now placed her in a medically induced coma.

James was nine months pregnant and only one week before giving birth when she was found unconscious at home, as described in the GoFundMe page set up by her family.

Her husband, Austin, found James on the home floor and immediately rushed her to the emergency room. She had a special operation with both C-section and brain surgery being performed at the same time.

James has “undergone five separate brain procedures” and remains in a medically induced coma for 12 days after the incident. The family said that they expect James to remain in the ICU for weeks. The newborn baby girl stayed in the NICU for 12 days and has been released.

James’s sisters Nicole and Nicelle indicated the urgency of the situation in their GoFundMe post. “If Jackie and the baby arrived a few minutes later at the hospital, we likely would have lost both of them,” they wrote.

The family has raised $268,247 through GoFundMe so far, with more than 4,600 donors who are supporting James and her daughter.
