Noah Ritter, better known as “Apparently Kid,” stopped by The Ellen Show to chat about the perils of riding the bus home from school, dinosaurs and his new favorite word.

Apparently Kid On Ellen

Ellen DeGeneres introduced the five-year-old Ritter, "Apparently our first guest is an internet sensation and apparently his video has over 15 million views, apparently." DeGeneres then showed a clip of the Pennsylvania native in the short video that made him an overnight Internet sensation. While attending a state fair with his grandfather, Ritter gave the local reporter the interview of a lifetime, talking enthusiastically about a ride he'd just gone on and how it was his first time on live TV – saying apparently almost every other word.

When Ritter took the couch opposite DeGeneres, he exclaimed, "This is my first time on a talk show! My first time on a talk show!"

After DeGeneres mentioned his affinity for the word apparently, Ritter explained that it's no longer a staple of his vocabulary, saying, "Yeah, but I got over it now. I get over it now and then!" When DeGeneres asked him if a new word has taken apparently's place, he considered it for a moment and deadpanned that it's now "seriously."

Eventually the topic of conversation moved on to school, for which Ritter has a generally negative opinion. Basically, every day feels like forever. "It was like I was in prison for 10 days," he told DeGeneres. "Five days? That's a week. 10 days? That's a year!"

What could possibly be worse than 10 days of school that feel like a year? Riding the bus home afterwards. "Why can't the bus driver park at my home?" Ritter asks "He has to park at the bus stop and I have to walk to the bus stop with my Grandparents. My legs hurt. I sit down on my couch and that's the end of pain."

Having been made aware that the natural on camera is fond of dinosaurs, the talk show host presented him with an animated model T-rex that impressively moved across the large stage. While Ritter was taken with the dinosaur, he astutely informed DeGeneres, "I’m pretty sure that’s a guy in a costume.”
