Actor Colin Egglesfield, known for his roles in All My Children and Melrose Place, has revealed that he is facing cancer for the third time.

In a statement shared on social media, Egglesfield opened up about his diagnosis and his determination to confront it with a positive mindset.

Reflecting on an interview he gave at 25, Egglesfield recalled saying, “It’s not the hand that you’ve been dealt because you can’t change that. It’s how you play the cards that counts.” He shared that this perspective has helped him navigate life’s challenges, including his recent prostate cancer diagnosis.

Egglesfield emphasized that his cancer was detected early, and after thorough research and consultations with doctors, he decided to take proactive steps by undergoing surgery. He expressed gratitude to his medical team and supporters, stating, “Thank you to everyone else who has supported me and extended your well wishes! I feel it and each day I’m getting healthier and stronger.”

“I’m still a bit sore but I’m making progress and am determined to come back stronger and healthier than ever especially with the help of my sexy walker :),” he added.

The 51-year-old actor gained fame for his portrayal of Joshua Madden on All My Children from 2005 to 2009 and has appeared in several popular TV series, including The Client List, Rizzoli & Isles and the CW reboot of Melrose Place. His film credits include roles in Vice, Something Borrowed and Bad Moms.

Egglesfield used his announcement to encourage fans to prioritize their health and seek medical attention when needed. “Hopefully this is a reminder to everyone that you’re not alone with whatever you’re facing,” he wrote. “It’s important to advocate for yourself and your health which includes checkups, seeking information and asking for help when you need it!”
