A third defendant has been charged with rape in the ongoing case involving rapper Lil Mosey, born Lathan Moses Echols. Joshua D. Darrow, 19, faces a second-degree rape charge regarding an incident that occurred in January 2020. Lil Mosey, 19, and Francisco P. Prater, 18, were previously charged in the same incident.

The rapper has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Darrow allegedly held the victim down while Lil Mosey and Prater sexually assaulted her. According to court documents, at the time of the assault, the victim was unable to give her consent. She and the defendants were attending the same house party in Randle, Washington, in early 2020 when the assault allegedly occurred.

The Lewis County Superior Court initially brought up the charges after an April interview with the victim. Darrow responded to the court summons for his July 13 preliminary hearing and pled not guilty to the charges. He is scheduled for trial on January 24, 2022, alongside codefendants Lil Mosey and Prater.

Prater has yet to appear in court for his preliminary hearing, and there is currently a $50,000 warrant for his arrest.

As for Darrow, Judge Joely O’Rourke has allowed him to return home, out of custody, on unsecured bail. He, like the Seattle-based rapper, has also been ordered to stay 500 feet away from the victim and has been prohibited from contacting her.
