Carlos and Alexa PenaVega, of Big Time Rush and Spy Kids, respectively, have released a new book titled What If Love Is The Point?

The book details their lives in the entertainment industry and how they decided to approach their jobs and relationships through a different perspective – one of faith in God, giving to others instead of focusing on themselves and loving unconditionally.

The PenaVegas recently sat down for a conversation with uInterview founder Erik Meers revealing why they decided to combine their names.

“Well, first of all, I don’t even know if what we did was legal!” Carlos laughed.

“We were signing our paper at the Ventura county office,” he said before Alexa cut in, “Well, before that, we always loved the idea of making our names PenaVega. We thought that was so cool. We were like, ‘You know what? If we could have a fresh start and be PenaVega, let’s do it!’ But we didn’t think it was actually possible legally.”

“Yeah, we knew that you might have to hire an attorney and do this whole thing so we go to the whatever whatever, so we sign the paper and the guy goes, ‘Who’s taking whose last name?’ So we just put PenaVega,” Carlos continued. “I dropped a surname that my mom had given me too, so I shortened my name and she made hers her name and we put the paper in front of the guy and he looks at it and goes, ‘PenaVega. Really cool.’ Stamp. Once you have that marriage certificate, you can do anything!”

What If Love Is The Point is out now wherever books are sold.
