Michael Lohan, television personality and father of Lindsay Lohan, was arraigned on Wednesday February 12 after alledly assaulting his wife, Kate Major.

The Southampton Village Police reported in a statement to People that a domestic complaint was filed on Monday, February 10 against Lohan. Lohan was arrested after he allegedly was “verbally and physically abusive to the other party.” Later, he was charged with a misdemeanor, criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation and harassment in the second degree, a violation.

Michael Lohan reported to E! News that he “adamantly denied that ever happened.”

Major claimed that Lohan, “got extremely violent and threatened to stab me. He called me a whore and threw hangers across the room. He threw my phone. Put his hand around the left side of my neck with his hand. My neck hurts and is bruised pushing into my throat in rage. He also grabbed my right wrist causing the hamster wheel to crack. My right wrist is bruised and sore. He said he just wanted to stab me and end it all. He kept saying I was brain dead—I leave too many lights on and I’m a waste of life. He threatened to call the cops and put me away for 20 years.”

Lohan reportedly protested in court that Major, “should be in some kind of treatment.”

Lohan was ordered by court to wear an electronic GPS ankle bracelet. Prosecutors did not file any charges against Major.

This is not the first time that the husband and wife have been in legal trouble. The couple got married in 2014 after getting engaged in 2010. In 2015, Lohan and Major’s children were removed from their home when a video emerged of an abusive altercation that took place between the couple in front of them. In 2018, Major filed for divorce from Lohan one month after she was arrested in a domestic violence dispute.
