The late Carrie Fisher‘s daughter Billie Lourd will inherit the star’s entire estate.
BILLIE LOURD TO INHERIT CARRIE FISHER ESTATE
Lourd was named the beneficiary on Fisher’s trust, and all of her assets will go to her daughter. These include multiple bank accounts, a 2016 Tesla S, ownership of several LLCs, and a life insurance policy, as well as personal items. In addition, Lourd will inherit the rights to her mother’s image and likeness, her intellectual property, and all proceeds from Fisher’s books and trademarks.
Some of Fisher’s memorabilia will be auctioned off in September by her brother Todd Fisher and Profiles in History. These items will include a life-sized Princess Leia Statue, a personalized director’s chair from Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, and her writing desk. Proceeds will go toward Debbie Reynolds‘ charity The Thalians, and to the Jed Foundation, which Lourd chose.
Fisher’s estate, which she shared with her late mother Reynolds, is on the market for $18 million. The proceeds of the sale will go into the trust.
The details of the trust are being negotiated by lawyers. Because her death was sudden, Fisher had not fully updated her last will and testament. To avoid court, her lawyers are arguing that Fisher did intend to have those assets not currently included, added to the trust.
Lourd, 24, is Fisher’s only daughter with talent executive Bryan Lourd.
