Justin Bieber Acknowledges His Emotional Turmoil In Raw Post: ‘I Know I’m Broken’
After months of fan speculation that the pop star is in the throes of mental illness, Justin Bieber has finally opened up about what is going on in his head.
On June 16, Bieber posted a message via Instagram Reels, set to Wizkid’s “Blessed.”
“People keep telling me to heal,” he started. “If I could have fixed myself, I would have already.
“I know I’m broken. I know I have anger issues. I tried to do the work my whole life to be like the people who told me I needed to be fixed like them. And it just keeps making me more tired and more angry.
“The harder I try to grow, the more focused on myself I am. Jesus is the only one who keeps me wanting to make my life about others. Because honestly, I’m exhausted with thinking about myself lately, aren’t you?”
He captioned the post with a simple middle finger emoji.
Fans in the comments were quick to insist that the singer prioritize himself and put down his phone so he can focus on improving his mental state.
Bieber’s increasingly cryptic Instagram posts, coupled with the observed uptick in his drug use, have sparked worry in many of his fans, who have spent over a year positing that the singer is spiraling.
However, Bieber has continually dismissed such claims and emphasized the infuriating nature of the rumor mill. In February, Bieber’s representative told TMZ that such constant, unfounded stories are “exhausting and pitiful and show that despite the obvious truth, people are committed to keeping negative, salacious, harmful narratives alive.”
Bieber celebrated Father’s Day on Sunday, sharing a black and white selfie on Instagram, in which he glares at the camera with dead eyes, a large emoji middle finger superimposed in the corner. He captioned the post, “I’m a dad that’s not to be f—ed with 🖕🏼.”
Bieber and his wife, Hailey, welcomed their son, Jack Blues, in August 2024.
