Like professional cameras, the Honor 8 also allows the user to change the depth-of-field, ranging from close up, soft-focused macro photography, to the sharp wide shots common to smartphone photography (from F0.95 to F16). Selfie aficionado? The 8 megapixel front-facing will camera will also keep you looking your best.

Of the double-feature button, users can unlock their phone in as little as 0.4 seconds when using the fingerprint scanner, which can be programmed to open specific apps on the device, as well as make secure mobile payments. With an octa-core CPU processor and 4gb of RAM, you won’t have to worry about a sluggish phone either.

Another unique feature hitting the US market for the fist time are knuckle gestures. Want to take a screenshot? Press your knuckles against the screen. The review also warns that the battery life is not where it needs to be, although Huawei claims the phone can go from 0% to 47% charge in thirty minutes.

The 32GB Huawei rivals the photography benefits of the iPhone 7 Plus for less of the cost.
