Heath Ledger’s father revealed that his daughter cautioned his son the day before he died.

Kate Ledger warned her brother “You can’t mix drugs that you don’t know anything about,” according to Australia’s News.com.au.

The Dark Knight star dismissed the warning telling his sister, “Katie, Katie, I’ll be fine.”

He was found dead the next day, January 22, 2008, in his Manhattan apartment.

The final toxicology report found a mixture of prescription drugs oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam and doxylamine was found in his system.

“It just put his whole system to sleep I guess,” said his father, Kim Ledger. “It was a one-off thing. That’s what killed us, because he was warned by his sister the night before: ‘You shouldn’t mix what you’re taking for pneumonia with your Ambient,” he added.

Kim is now a drug awareness advocate in Australia.

“Losing a child is something that never leaves you. You can live with the pain, but it never leaves you,” he said.
