In an interview on CBS’s Sunday Morning, which aired on April 27, former NFL coach Bill Belichick’s girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, interrupted a reporter’s question about their relationship.

Belichick, 72, and Hudson, 24, have long inspired interest in their relationship, driven by their staggering 48-year age gap, and fueled by their discrepancy in physical appearance.

Hudson recently announced that she’s competing in the Miss Maine pageant this year.

Belichick’s interview promoted his upcoming memoir, The Art of Winning: Lessons from a Life in Football. Hudson sat just outside the frame, described by journalist Tony Dokoupil as a “constant presence” throughout the discussion.

When Dokouphil asked Belichick for comment on the public’s interest in his romantic life, Belichick responded, “I’ve never been too worried about what everyone else thinks…[I just try] to do what I feel like is best for me, and what’s right.”

Dokouphil went on to ask how Belichick and Hudson met, but Hudson interrupted to shut down the question, firmly interjecting, “We’re not talking about this.”

Dokouphil responded, “No?” And Hudson sternly repeated, “No.”

An awkward moment of silence ensued between the three, before a voiceover of Dokouphil informed viewers, “It’s a topic neither one of them is comfortable commenting on.”

Belichick and Hudson met on a flight in February 2021. The two were first romantically linked in January 2023 when they were seen out together, and they made their relationship public in June 2024. Their red carpet debut together followed six months later.

In the interview, Dokouphil commented on the couple’s Instagram posts, which show them spending time together doing yoga or playing on the beach. However, when Dokouphil remarked that Belichick was showing his followers a “different side” of his personality, Belichick was dry in his response, saying, “Yeah, so I’m on some of those social media platforms… but I honestly don’t follow.”

Hudson has a history of fiercely defending her relationship with Belichick, and slammed an internet user as recently as last month, who messaged her on Instagram saying, “But you do realize your relationship is insane, right?” Hudson posted a screenshot to social media, writing, “But you do realize direct messaging a stranger on Instagram with the intent of harassing them regarding their own personal relationship is insane, right?”

Following the release of the interview, NBC Sports reported that Hudson had interjected numerous times throughout the interview: “While we don’t know the total number of interruptions, it’s our understanding that CBS decided to include that one specific instance because it wasn’t a one-time thing.”
