The cast of Star Wars: The Force Awakens flew from Los Angeles to the U.K. aboard an R2-D2 themed plane this week.

The Japanese airline ANA designed the plane, outfitting it with blue stripes on its fuselage and cockpit to resemble the famous droid. The inside was also designed to pay homage to the Star Wars character. A life-sized version of R2-D2 was even on the flight, along with a BB-8.
Original Star Wars stars Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca) and Anthony Daniels (C-3PO) were on the chartered flight, as were newcomers John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Gwendoline Christie, Lupita Nyong’o, Adam Driver and Oscar Isaac.
The decorated ANA 787 safely delivered the actors, director J.J. Abrams, creator George Lucas and producer Kathleen Kennedy to Gatwick Airport ahead of the London Star Wars: The Force Awakens premiere.
The London premiere, held in Leicester Square, is the biggest premiere in European film history. Star Wars: The Force Awakens held its first premiere in Hollywood, Calif., Wednesday night. Film critics have hailed the movie the best since the original films, and have lauded Abrams for bringing the franchise forward for new generations.
The Force Awakens hits theaters Friday, Dec. 18.
