Brittany Snow teased fans with details about Pitch Perfect 2 in a recent interview, promising a film “bigger and badder” than the original.

Brittany Snow Teases Pitch Perfect 2

Pitch Perfect 2 brings back the Barden Bellas from Pitch Perfect, with a few new members played by Hailee Steinfeld and Chrissy Fit, as they fight to win the World Championship in a cappella.

To take the collegiate group to an international stage, Snow revealed that the filmmakers ramped up the performances and the comedic charm.

“We get a little desperate because we have to actually not only win on a national level, but we have to win the world. So things are really pushed to the next level. The comedy is bigger, the dances are bigger, the singing is bigger,” Snow teased.

Pitch Perfect 2 brings back stars Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson, among others, and screenwriter Kay Cannon. Snow promised fans that they can expect the sequel to build upon everything audiences loved in the original.

“In Pitch Perfect 2 you can expect probably more of the same things you loved about Pitch Perfect 1. The same characters are back, and more trouble ensues. We make it bigger and badder and we get down and dirty and pull out all the stops, really,” Snow told People Now.

Of course, it came as a surprise to many when it was announced that Snow would reprise her role as Chloe in Pitch Perfect 2. Chloe, the group’s lovable co-captain, was a senior in Pitch Perfect, and the sequel takes place three years later.

“She was supposed to graduate three years before but she intentionally failed three times in a row so she could still be a Bella, so she’s just gotten exponentially more dumb! And I think in the second one, that shows a little bit,” Snow explained.

Another exciting thing fans can expect from Pitch Perfect 2: celebrity cameos.

Pitch Perfect 2 hits theaters May 15.
