Charlie Sheen Gets Searched By Police, Announces Plans For Live Show
Los Angeles Police Department stopped by Charlie Sheen’s home Thursday evening, after allegations that the beleaguered actor had violated the restraining order issued by ex-wife Brook Mueller. After receiving a tip that the former Two and a Half Men star was in possession of weapons and ammunition and had threatened to harm himself with a firearm, police conducted a three hour search of his Sherman Oaks mansion. Per Mueller’s restraining order, the actor is prohibited from possessing weapons of any kind.
"We were there to investigate the possible violation of a restraining order. It came to our attention that Mr. Charlie Sheen is a registered owner of firearms so we were making sure there were no firearms or ammunition in the home," an LAPD spokespeson said. Police confiscated bullets and an antique gun, but Sheen was neither arrested nor detained. During the search, news cameras showed Sheen eating dinner in his backyard. Later, he took to his Twitter account to describe the events. "All good here on homefront. All reports are false. I'll explain more very soon," he tweeted. "The LAPD were AWESOME. Absolute pros! They can protect and serve this Warlock anytime!"
Still, Sheen managed to keep himself busy amidst all the activity yesterday. Before the LAPD's arrival, the actor filed a $100 million lawsuit against Warner Bros. and Men co-ceator Chuck Lorre, which alleges that he was wrongly removed from the show as a form of "punishment." Sheen also revealed to his Twitter followers that he plans to launch a Conan O'Brien-style road show, entitled "My Violent Torpedo of Truth/ Defeat Is Not an Option Show." "I'm going on the road. LIVE. Will there be surprises? Will there be guests? Will there be mayhem? Will you ask questions? Will you laugh? Will you scream? Will you know the truth? WILL THERE BE MORE?!?!" reads the show's promotional description. The first of the confirmed dates are April 2 at the Fox Theater in Detroit and April 3 at the Chicago Theater in Chicago, with tickets on sale on Saturday. According to Sheen, the opportunity to hear the truth is not one to pass up. "This IS where you will hear the REAL story from the Warlock. Bring it. I dare you to keep up with me." —EMILY EXTON
