Alicia Silverstone Names Baby Boy 'Bear Blu'

Weird baby names are something of a standard in Hollywood, and new parents Alicia Silverstone, 34, and hubby Christopher Jarecki, 40, held up the tradition by naming their first child Bear Blu Jarecki on May 5.

The couple, who married in Lake Tahoe in 2005, couldn't be happier about their new arrival. "We are all three in love," Silverstone wrote on her blog. "I'm so grateful to this community for all the love, support, good wishes and happy vibes you've sent me during my pregnancy … it has been wonderful. Thank you all!"

This is a day the Clueless star has been anticipating for a long time. This time last year she gushed about the possibility motherhood. "I've been wanting to have a baby since I was 2 years old — I'm destined to be a mother," she told People.

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon also just made headlines for dubbing their boy-and-girl duo Moroccan and Monroe, respectively. At least Bear Blu won't be alone. —KIMBERLY STEELE
