Underrated, the documentary made and directed by Peter Nicks about Steph Curry‘s career as a basketball star, premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival.

In an exclusive interview with uInterview, the superstar’s college coach, Bob McKillop, spoke about his most memorable moment he had with Curry.

“In his second game as a Davidson player against the University of Michigan, he scored 32 points,” McKillop said. “The night before, he had a double-double – 15 points, 13 turnovers, not the double-double that is proverbial in that you get applause. And after their performance, in the press conference after the game he just scored 32 points, in the national press conference he gave credit to his teammates. He always puts the team ahead of self but never at the consequence of limiting himself. There are a lot of guys that will praise their team and in a sense destroy their own ability to perform. He had a remarkable capacity to praise his teammates and still perform at a level of being a teammate.”

Underrated is now available for streaming on Apple TV+.
