Rose Byrne survived the apocalypse in 28 Weeks Later. Now, she’s trying to avoid another one with co-star Nicolas Cage in Knowing. Rose takes questions exclusively for users of uInterview.com.
Q: Now in Knowing, the end of the world is predicted in a message. Do you believe that one person could have that kind of knowledge?
BYRNE: I don’t personally believe that, no. Since the beginning of time there have been prophesying in numbers they are a dime and a dozen, really and that’s what they say in the movie. I guess I sort of believe that. I believe that the environment is in huge danger. I trust scientists more than anyone else. If that isn’t dealt with, then obviously the world is going to change indefinitely.
Q: With Knowing and 28 Weeks Later, you’ve been in a couple of apocalyptic movies. Do you ever worry that the end is near?
BYRNE: Yeah, I definitely do. I’m pretty practical in the sense of the carbon footprint of humanity and those sorts of things and of the damage that we’ve already done. I remember being in England and there was this huge fear that bird flu was going to break out this kind of flu that was from ducks and geese they were saying was going to wipe out England a few years ago. But, you know, it’s a real possibility it’s like the Bubonic Plague, it could happen again. All you can do is try to live your life as cleanly honestly and critically aware of how you treat the Earth and each other.

JUST LOOK AT HIM IN THE MOVIE CON-AIR. LOOKS LIKE A TRUE HOBO THAT SLEEPS IN A DARK ALLEY.
A WOMAN WOULD HAVE TO BE CRAZY TO BE INTERESTED IN SOMETHING LIKE THIS. OR THEY THINK NICHOLAS CAGE HAS ENOUGH MONEY TO KEEP THEM ON COCAINE FOR MANY, MANY YEARS.
