John Edward, the psychic medium and star of the show Crossing Over With John Edward, is starting his new U.S. tour this month.

Edward’s show Crossing Over aired on the Sci-Fi Channel in 2000, in which he gave psychic readings to audience members.

The most incredible thing he’s seen in his psychic career, however, wasn’t an outlandish vision into the future. Instead, he said the power of love was the most incredible thing he’s witnessed.

“I know it sounds cliched, but when you’re doing a reading for someone, and the insistence level of energy coming through in a repetitive way, to get a message across to someone that sometimes really isn’t into hearing it… that potential of connection, is so overwhelming, and cool to watch — that to me is probably the most important thing, is that power,” Edward revealed to uInterview in an exclusive interview.

Edward has used his supernatural powers to give viewers a vision of the after-life.

“I have the privilege of being able to do this, and to connect and get glimpses of what’s coming through, but it’s a perspective that’s interpretive, so I would never want to say like, this is what the afterlife is like,” he told uInterview.

Of course, the psychic and his show aren’t without their critics. Edward separated his disbelievers into two categories: those who are cynical, and those who are skeptical.

“If we’re talking about someone who’s cynical, where no matter what conversation you have with them, it’s just not real, I would have no conversation,” he explained. “But if it’s someone who’s skeptical, who’s actually asking real questions, who wants to explore this or this concept for themselves, I’ll answer whatever questions they want.

“I tell people we’re living in a time where skepticism is a very important tool to help you discern what’s real and what’s not real. And I think it’s important for everybody to be skeptical when it comes to this subject matter, and as they approach things in their lives,” he added.

His 2017 tour will feature similar elements to his show Crossing Over.

“I talk a lot about people of Crossed Over, I bring through as many messages for people in the audience to answer their questions, and help to give them energetic tools to help them address where they are in their lives, using the tools of the reading,” Edward said.

The tour kicked off on Jan. 12 in Redding, California, and will end on May 19 in Albany, New York.

Q: What is the afterlife like? -

That's a great question. Every publisher I've ever worked with has asked me to write that book, like the guided afterlife tour, and it's a book that I cannot write. And the reason I cannot write it is I feel like I have the privilege of being able to do this, and to connect and get glimpses of what's coming through, but it's a perspective that's interpretive, so I would never want to say like, this is what the afterlife is like, based upon what I'm doing. I use the example of Australia. I've been to Australia a number of times, I could tell you what capital cities I've been to, I could tell you where I've stayed, what I've seen, what I've eaten, but I can't write the tour book for Australia, even after being there, you know, sometimes twice a year over the last decade.

Q: What is the most incredible thing you have ever seen? -

I think one of the things that stands out for me is the power of love. When I say the power of love, I know it sounds cliched, but when you're doing a reading for someone, and the insistence level of energy coming through in a repetitive way, to get a message across to someone that sometimes really isn't into hearing it, because they don't remember the person, or they don't realize that it's like their hairdresser's son, or whatever the example might be, but that insistency, that potential of connection, is so overwhelming, and cool to watch--that to me is probably the most important thing, is that power. And for me to convey that to people, even people that are watching this, that might not ever come to an event or go for a reading, just to know that that power is real. The power of connection and love, it's very very important.

Q: What do you say to skeptics? -

Well, it depends on what level we're talking about. If we're talking about someone who's cynical, where no matter what conversation you have with them, it's just not real, I would have no conversation. But if it's someone who's skeptical, who's actually asking real questions, who wants to explore this or this concept for themselves, I'll answer whatever questions they want. So I think it's important to be skeptical. I tell people we're living in a time where skepticism is a very important tool to help you discern what's real and what's not real. And I think it's important for everybody to be skeptical when it comes to this subject matter and as they approach things in their lives.

Q: What can fans expect from your tour? -

Well, I used to host a show called 'Crossing Over,' and the program 'Crossing Over' actually was developed based on people watching my live events. So it's kind of my live events are crossing over, and then some. So I talk a lot about people of 'Crossed Over,' I bring through as many messages for people in the audience to answer their questions, and help to give them energetic tools to help them address where they are in their lives, using the tools of the reading.
