Evan Peters, who stars in the new film Dabka, recently gave his on-screen mom, Melanie Griffith, what he considers to be, quite the compliment.

While speaking exclusively with uInterview recently, Peters had this to say about Griffith.

“Melanie Griffith was amazing, too. She played my mom, which is kind of … she’s a total MILF.”

Sitting next to Peters, was Jay Bahadur, whose exploits covering Somali pirates as journalists are the subject of the new film. Griffith plays Bahadur’s mother on the screen. Rather than comment on the potential awkwardness of Peters’ comment, they both laugh.

Peters begins to dig himself a little deeper into a hole when he adds that Bahadur’s dad was also well cast in the film, possibly suggesting that Peters considers Bahadur’s real-life mom a MILF as well.

But in the end, Bahadur takes no offense and the two continue on, forgetting the whole episode.

Watch our previous conversation with Peters and Bahadur, in which Peters talks about working with Al Pacinohere.

Q: What was it like working with Melanie Griffith? -

Evan Peters: "Melanie Griffith was amazing, too. She played my mom, which is kind of ... she's a total MILF, Melanie Griffith. So, that was really cool. And your dad was really well cast in the movie, I thought. I met Jay's dad last night and he's awesome, he's a pretty awesome guy."

Jay Bahadur: "My dad was complaining a bit that, you know, in a facetious way, that the actor was bald, and he is in his seventies but with a very lustrous head of hair."
