Charlize Theron Adopts A Son

It's a boy for Charlize Theron!

The 36-year old Oscar-winner has adopted a child, reports Us Weekly. "She is the proud mom of a healthy baby boy named Jackson," says Theron's rep. "She has always wanted to be a mom. She is glad to be able to do it on her own now and is so happy to be a mom."

In 2010, Theron split from her boyfriend of nine years, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen actor Stuart Townsend. Since then she had enjoyed being single. "From the time I was 19, I've been in relationships, literally gone from one to the other within a month," she told the magazine.

Still, the Monster actress isn't completely without help in the raising of little Jackson. "Charlize's mom [Gerda] has been helping out with the baby," a source told People. "She seems so happy and will be a great mom."
