Charlize Theron To Play Evil Queen

Mirror mirror on the wall, Charlize Theron is the most evil of them all?

After much speculation about the role of the Evil Queen in the upcoming Snow White and the Huntsman, Theron has signed on to play the coveted role, according to Deadline. The retelling of this classic fairy tale will focus on the huntsman who is tasked with taking Snow White in the forest to kill her. While in the forest, Snow White and the huntsman fall in love and plot to take down the queen.

There have been no announcements on who will play Snow White, though producers have said that they want a relative unknown. Riley Keough, Lisa Marie Presley's daughter and Elvis Presley's granddaughter, is rumored to be a frontrunner.

Theron has experience playing evil characters — she won an Oscar for her portrayal of serial killer Aileen Wuornos in 2003's Monster. —ISHITA SINGH
