South Korea’s President Yoon Suk Yeol was impeached in a vote at the country’s National Assembly on Dec. 14, in the wake of his short-lived imposition of martial law earlier in the month.

This video shows the balloons being released as the crowd cheers the move.

The National Assembly passed the motion by a vote of 204-85.

Last week, thousands of protesters flocked to the streets in Seoul after Yoon tried to impose martial law in the country for the first time in decades.
