Tom Arnold Files Battery Police Report Against Mark Burnett After Fight At Pre-Emmy Party

On Monday, actor and comedian Tom Arnold filed a police report against producer Mark Burnett after a verbal dispute over Arnold’s pursuit for information about President Trump at the pre-Emmy party.

The Apprentice executive producer and comedian were at a charity event on Sunday evening when Arnold confronted Burnett about recordings from The Apprentice that include racist language from the then host, President Trump.

Arnold went to the Los Angeles Police Department to file a battery report against Burnett the next day. As the report was being completed, reporters waited outside the station for Arnold to speak about the incident.

“Mark Burnett attacked me like a psycho, no provocation at all,” Arnold told the reporters. He explained that he was walking up a steep set of stairs into the event when Burnett approached him. “Before I got to the top of the stairs he lunges out at me. He does a choke,” Arnold continued while motioning to his throat. “I then defended myself and ripped off his fake cross… He could have killed me,” he said.

After the incident at the party, Arnold went to Twitter to explain what happened.

“Mark Burnett just went … & choked me at this huge Emmy party then he ran away with his torn Pink shirt & missing gold chain, I’m waiting for LAPD,” Arnold tweeted, then later deleted along with other tweets about the incident.

Burnett hasn’t made any comments on the incident, but his wife, Roma Downey has accused Arnold of trying to ambush her and Burnett. At 1:40 a.m. on Monday, Downey posted a photo of her bruised hand.

Arnold wrote back to her on Twitter saying, “you lie your crazy husband attacked me…. I’m filing police report & suing you for defamation.”

About an hour and a half later, actress Alyson Hannigan tweeted that she didn’t believe it was a serious fight until security jumped in.

Arnold has been seeking recordings that support the claim that Trump made inappropriate racial remarks during the production of The Apprentice.

President Trump has denied the allegation, but addressed it directly after former Apprentice contestant and former White House staffer Omarosa Manigault Newman said Trump had used the N-word.

Burnett has maintained that such recordings don’t exist and has denied having access to any of the recordings of the show.
