As rumors of Nikki Haley‘s addition to Donald Trump‘s election campaign fly, Republican House Representative from Georgia, Marjorie Taylor Greene, has stated that if Trump were to add Haley as his running mate, he would lose the support of the MAGA movement.

Haley is now competing against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for the closest contender for Trump’s running mate in the 2024 election. Additionally, Trump has been reflecting the majority of his grievances on DeSantis rather than Haley.

Greene has been thought to speak on behalf of the MAGA movement and Pro-Trump voters. Her rejection of the idea not only comes from her opinion on the matter, but additionally from high profile figures that also reject the thought.

Greene posted on her Twitter (X) account that “MAGA would revolt if Nikki Haley were to even be given an internship in Trump’s next administration.” She also states in the post that “She represents the neocon establishment America last wing of the Republican Party that we are absolutely done with.”

Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump has also made a statement confirming that the former President has not ruled out Haley as his potential running mate in the upcoming election.

Former house speaker Kevin McCarthy has stated his opinion on choosing a running mate and has said that if he were to choose a running mate based on political strategy, Haley would be a wise choice to consolidate the most voters.

Additionally, DeSantis stated that he believes that Haley would accept Trumps offer to run alongside himself in 2024, however, Haley has not yet commented on the idea.

Steve Bannon, former strategist who worked with the Trump administration has commented while appearing on The Sean Spicer Show saying that Trump is likely to pick a female to run alongside him in 2024, however, Bannon did not mention anything specifically about Haley.
