A few weeks ago, Prince Harry and Megan Merkle declared that they were stepping away from their royal titles, and will be spending a majority of their time in North America. This hasn’t stopped celebrities from chiming in with their input on where the ex-royals will spend their future days. Madonna suggested that the couple to stay in her Central Park West apartment in New York, via an Instagram post.

The famed pop-star who debuted with hit songs in the early 1980s, was filmed by one of her social media coordinators over some classical music. In the video, Madonna says “Don’t run off to Canada… It’s so boring there.” That line proved offensive to some Canadian fans, as many of the top comments on her Instagram post are from agitated Canadians.
A Canadian News’ Twitter page also picked up the ‘incident.’
“Two bedrooms, and it’s got the best views of Manhattan. Buckingham Palace has nothing on CPW,” Madonna posted
The two already have a history of visiting the country. Merkel already has spent several years in Toronto, where she filmed the show Suits.
Madonna has been chooses to live outside of the United States for the time being.
