This weekend’s Bonnaroo was meant to be history-making, featuring Lizzo as the first female headliner. Unfortunately, due to the heavy rains of Hurricane Ida, the Manchester, Tennessee venue was flooded. It was announced that Bonnaroo would be canceled on Aug 31.
Lizzo mourned the cancelation on her Instagram stories following the announcement, writing that she was “honored to be your first female headliner @bonnaroo.”
Other performers shared similar sentiments through Twitter.
