Lilly Singh To Be First Female Late Night Talk Show Host, Replacing Carson Daly
Lilly Singh is set to replace Carson Daly‘s at the 1:35 a.m. late night slot on NBC.
Singh, an actress and YouTube star, will be the first woman with the a light night show. The Indian-Canadian star tweeted that having her own late night talk show was “a dream come true.”

In a tweet following the announcement, she paid homage to her heritage.

Fellow late night hosts Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers congratulated her as well.

Daly welcomed the shift saying it’s time to bring his show to a close so he can focus on other projects like hosting The Voice.
Many other stars were quick to congratulate Singh on her success.
