George Zimmerman, who was acquitted of murder in the fatal death of teenager Trayvon Martin received a summons for stalking private investigator Dennis Warren. The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office released a statement that Zimmerman has harassed Warren on multiple occasions from December 16-25, 2017. So what’s George Zimmerman’s case status?

Warren was hired by a production company, The Cinemart working with Jay-Z, to create a docu-series about the life and tragic death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin who was shot and killed by Zimmerman in 2012. Much to the outrage of the public, Zimmerman was acquitted of his second-degree murder charge in 2013. Zimmerman has already threatened Jay-Z over this documentary.
An investigation by the county sheriff’s officer found that Warren gave Zimmerman his contact information via a voicemail on Sept. 21, explaining that a producer would like to speak to him about being included in a documentary. From the affidavit, this was the only attempt by Warren to reach Zimmerman. According to Deputies, Zimmerman called Warren 55 times, left 36 voicemails, texted him 67 times and sent 27 emails over the nine-day span in December 2017.

A producer for the documentary contacted Warren on Dec. 13, saying that Zimmerman had been making threats against the producer and against Warren because they tried to solicit Zimmerman’s family members to be involved in the film, according to authorities.
Zimmerman allegedly told Warren that he knows “how to handle people who f— with me, I have been since February 2012.” He also declared that “anyone who f—s with my parents will be fed to an alligator.”
Many of the texts and voicemails allegedly contained threats and profanity. “Answer your phone f—” read one, according to the affidavit. Another message significantly threatened Warren with, “I’ll see you before you realize it.”
Zimmerman has been in a variety of legal woes leading up to this stalking accusation. In January 2015 he was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault and domestic violence of a weapon but charges were not filed after the apparent victim backed off her claims. More outrage followed Zimmerman when he attempted to auction off the gun that he allegedly used to kill Martin with.
Zimmerman is due to appear in court on May 30.
