After posting an NSFW photo of himself on Instagram last week, Chris Evans has decided to put his increased following and attention towards a good cause. On an interview with Tamron Hall, though he admitted the video clip was an embarrassing mistake, he spoke to his adaptability to the situation.
“Look, it was a very interesting weekend, full of lessons learned,” Evans said bashfully. It took him a few days to respond to his fans regarding the mishap, but the first thing he said to address it was via tweet:
“You know, things happen. It’s embarrassing but you gotta roll with the punches,” he told Hall.
After screenshots of Evans’ camera roll went viral, many of his fans chose to spam social media with innocuous photos of him and his dog – and though he didn’t respond to them online, he thanked them during the interview.
“I will say, I have some pretty fantastic fans who really came to my support. That was really, really nice,” he said.
After briefly regarding his media mistake, the conversation of the interview switched over to Evans’ new civic engagement platform, A Starting Point. It is dedicated towards creating a more informed and connected electorate, and his dedication to the cause is probably why he took to Twitter encouraging fans to vote.
