Barack & Michelle Obama’s Production Company, Higher Ground, Wins Academy Award

The 44th President of The United States has certainly been enjoying his retirement so far. He’s done so much; such as volunteering at a food bank in Chicago, or scoring interviews with television legend David Letterman. Now, he can add another feat to his resume. Barack & Michelle Obama‘s production company, Higher Ground Productions, was able to take home an Oscar for its film, American Factory.

Outside of the opening credits, the Higher Grounds Productions Company isn’t mentioned. In fact, Barack Obama’s name isn’t mention once in the movie.

The film is about a Chinese billionaire that buys an unused factory warehouse, outside of Dayton, Ohio. Its plot and scenes revolve around actual people, who use mini-microphones to enhance the dialogue of the employees and managers.

The cultures of the Chinese and American employees are pitted against one another. Managers in China come to the United States to realize how joyful working can be. When the Americans go to China, they discover the rigorous employee conditions and standards that they are held accountable for by their bosses.

100 CELEBRITIES WHO DIED IN 2019 – TRIBUTE SLIDESHOW
