Greg Poehler is an American actor, comedian, writer, producer and attorney. He is best known for his roles in Welcome to Sweden, Wine Country (2019), You Me Her and Moxie (2021).

Greg Poehler was born on October 11, 1974 (Greg Poehler: Age 48) in Burlington, Massachusetts to Eileen Frances and William Poehler. He has an older sister, actress Amy Poehler.
Poehler graduated from Boston College in 1996 before going to the Fordham University School of Law. He was admitted to the New York bar association for the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. In 2006 he graduated from Stockholm University with a master’s in European intellectual property law. However, once he began being successful as a stand-up comedian he left the law scene. He cites sister Amy Poehler as being a large influence in that decision.

In an exclusive interview with uInterview, Poehler talked about what it was like growing up with Amy.
“I mean it’s it’s pretty clear cut that I’m the funniest one in the family,” he laughed. “I don’t think that competition is over. She may win like, the more public awards in the industry, but we both know there’s only one internal family winner and that is me, 17 of the last 18 years.”
Poehler continued on to talk about how he and Amy started acting.
“Yeah I mean, our parents were kind of our common foil, they were usually the ones we were joining up together to make fun of,” he revealed. “We had a lot of backseat theater, Amy and I. It’s wonderful to be paid to do that kind of stuff. I don’t feel like I’m competing with her at all, I got into it so late, and she had a big head start.”

Poehler’s acting career started with his main role as Bruce in the show Welcome to Sweden from 2014 to 2015. Bruce is a New York City accountant who moves to Sweden after falling in love with a Swedish woman. The show had 20 episodes and Amy Poehler was a guest star in one episode.
In 2019, Poehler played Doctor Dickswing in the movie Wine Country, which was directed by Amy Poehler. The movie is about a group of distant friends reuniting in Napa Valley to reflect on past memories and adventures.
From 2016 to 2020, Poehler played the leading role of Jack Trakarsky, a man who is part of a threesome with his wife and another woman, in the show You Me Her.
Poehler’s most recent work was the role of a news anchor in the 2021 movie Moxie!
