Kristin Chenoweth And Seth MacFarlane To Perform Oscar Closing Number

Oscar host Seth MacFarlane and broadway veteran Kristin Chenoweth will close out the 85th Academy Awards with a musical number on Sunday, Feb. 24.

After the final Oscar winner is announced for best picture, MacFarlane and Chenoweth will join each other on stage – breaking the tradition of ending the show right after the last statue has been awarded. Oscar producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron announced the departure from tradition Wednesday night in a press release.

"After the Best Picture award has been given, Seth and Kristin will perform a special number and we think it will be a 'can't miss' moment," Zadan and Meron said.

Other can’t miss moments of the night are sure to include the performance by the cast of Les Miserables, Barbara Streisand’s Oscar number, a performance by the cast of Chicago's film adaptation and Adele's performance of the Oscar-nominated "Skyfall."

Along with the musical acts, the Academy’s press release revealed that Daniel Radcliffe, Channing Tatum, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Charlize Theron will all be appearing as special guests at the awards ceremony. No details as to what their roles will be though.

The Oscars will be broadcast live from the Dolby Theatre at the Hollywood Highland Center on Feb. 24 at 8:30/7:30c on ABC.
