She sings, dances, acts … and designs footwear? Black Eyed Peas frontwoman Stacy Ferguson — better known as Fergie — launched her contemporary shoe line under Brown Shoe Company three years ago. Today Fergie Shoes is still going strong with a funky mix of patent leather platforms, suede pumps and an array of edgy boots perfect for the winter season.
Ferguson's first foray into fashion was a collaboraion with bag company Kipling. The "Glamorous" songbird released a colorful line of handbags, totes, satchels and duffels for the Belgian company, replete with neon colors and punchy prints. The same year her second collection for Kipling was released, Ferguson joined forces with Brown Shoe Company and unveiled her line of Fergie Footwear at the 2008 World Shoe Accessories Mart in Las Vegas. The brand, which officially made entered mass retail in spring 2009, "imparts a bit of star quality to every person who steps into each chic style," according to its web site.
And they're all for a great price. You can buy a pair of cork wedges at FergieShoes.com for as low as $50.99, or pay up to $227 for a pair of leather, knee-high boots. The site has several new arrivals for the holiday season, featuring a sophisticated take on gladiator platforms, comfy wedge booties and glitter open-toe pumps.
