Walking Dead and recent blockbuster Black Panther actress Danai Gurira made a huge impression on the red carpet at this year’s Oscars.
Gurira wore a blush pink strapless gown by Gabriela Hearst this past Sunday. The silk dress features a rounded neckline and bare back, but flows from the lower back with a long train.
She also paired the dress with a diamond choker and matching ear cuff and bracelet by Messika Jewelry.

Gurira complimented her simple styled dress with simple, yet elegant makeup. She was seen on the red carpet with a smokey cat-eye with a dark burgundy lip color.
However, to contrast with her simple ensemble, Gurira also rocked a head stamp on the red carpet. Her hairstylist, Vernon Scott, made sure that she would stand out this past Sunday night. For Scott, this was more of about art than a hairstyle, as it was inspired by Ancient African Tribal Paint. He calls her hairstyle a “visual statement”.
